Summary

  • Nissan has fallen behind in the US pickup truck market, but a new digital rendering by Digimods DESIGN shows a potential design for a 2024-2025 Nissan truck that could elevate the Navara and add excitement to the Nissan range.
  • The rendering reveals dramatic changes in the front-end design, with a more streamlined grille and fascia, red accenting, and refreshed headlights, offering a more aggressive and modern look compared to the current Navara Nismo.
  • The rear-end of the truck shows the most significant changes, including a sportier and slimmer tailgate design, horizontal taillights with sharp edges, new wheel design with aggressive spokes, and a redesigned exhaust with outlets on each corner. The side profile is sleeker and lower, with subtle fenders and red accenting completing the sporty look.

Compared to their rivals, Nissan has fallen behind somewhat in the US pickup truck market. The discontinuation of the Titan pickup has left them really lagging behind, as big rivals such as Toyota introduce the new Tacoma, and Ford brings in the all-new Maverick as well. However, Nissan could right these wrongs with a new pickup design, such as this digital rendering that Digimods DESIGN has come up with.

The renderer has created an all-new Nissan pickup truck that could become the perfect platform for a 2024-2025 Nissan truck. This is an all-new Navara Nismo that would not only elevate the Navara, but create an exciting new addition to the Nissan range.

This Render Creates A Dramatic Looking Navara Nismo

Digimods has helpfully placed their rendering next to the original truck and the differences are dramatic. The original truck has a blacked out grille, which adds aggression but looks a little dated. The new rendering has refreshed the front-end, changing the grille and fascia to be a little more streamlined while adding extra aggression thanks to the additional bodywork. Below the fascia is some red accenting, absent on the original design save for on the Nissan badge and with splashes across the bottom. The grille design is a little more conventional, but it offers a nice refresh over the older Navara Nismo.

Some of the changes at the front are a little more subtle, such as the redesigned headlights that are more angular, and the wider ducts in front of the tires. The new version of the Navara in the render has also traded in the larger grille for a smaller one, but with the addition of a bigger air dam below it. The new front-end looks perfect for road use while it adds a bit more aggression compared to the standard Navara. The Navara Nismo itself is quite an aging design, and perhaps one that Nissan should think about updating to really stay in the performance truck game.

The New Navara Rear-End Is A Dramatic Change

The back of this pickup truck is where the biggest changes take place. On the original Navara Nismo, the pickup has quite the bulky and big rear-end, with a wide bed and big tailgate design. That is now gone from the new version of the truck, with a much slender tailgate design creating a sportier look for the Navara Nismo. The red accenting around the bottom of the tailgate adds to that look, as does the new wheel design with its much more aggressive spokes.

The more slender tailgate has allowed for a more slender taillight design. The vertical lights on the original Navara Nismo are now replaced by horizontal lights on the new version, with sharp edges adding extra aggression to the back-end. Below the taillights on the right-hand side, we can see the Nismo badging which highlights that this is no ordinary version of the Navara. The rendered truck also features a new exhaust design, with an outlet on each corner of the rear-end compared to the central exhaust design of the original Navara Nismo.

Redesigned Navara Nismo Has A Sleeker Side Profile

The side profile is where this truck really stands out, with Digimods creating a much more slender side profile. A neat bulge is seen across the bottom of the doors, and Digimods has added some subtle fenders to both the front and rear wheels. There is also a hint of a rear lip spoiler on the tailgate, while the overall shape of the new truck is sleeker and lower than the original. This redesign brings the Navara Nismo much more in-line with other performance trucks from the likes of Ford and Chevrolet, thanks to its more pleasing proportions. The red accenting continues down the side of the Navara Nismo to complete the sporty look.
